Fast start to restful weekend

With both the USA and UK celebrating a long weekend, a 9 Fire Friday gets it off to a feisty, lively start. The sense of contraction and restfulness of a 1 Water Saturday segues easily into a 2 Earth Sunday, where plans can be gently conceived and hatched. All in preparation for a Stormy Monday, when the 3 Thunder Star comes into its own. So no matter whether you’re at work or play enjoy a high-energy day.

Change and the world changes with you

Today is the last 8 Mountain Day falling both within an 8 Mountain Month and Year for another nine years.

Mountain Chi has a powerful variant in its mix: it signifies change, but it’s a transformation or revolution brought about by contemplation.

Perhaps best expressed in the words of Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

This is how I see the outlook for your Birth Star on this exceptional day.

1 Water Star: A day for appreciation and acknowledgement.

2 Earth Star: A day when you can really tap into your deep inner wisdom.

3 Thunder Star: Be proud of your achievements, but remember what pride precedes.

4 Wind Star: Let tranquillity rule your day not your usual ingenuity.

5 T’ai Chi Star: The upward spiral of success is preparing to unfurl.

6 Heaven Star: Discipline turns opportunity into real achievement.

7 Lake Star: Focus on what will supercharge this phase of growth.

8 Mountain Star: A deep and powerful day of insights and change.

9 Fire Star: Fortune favours the bold – and the focussed. Be clear.

A day for gratitude

There’s no better way to approach a 7 Lake Star Day than this - from poet and mystic Kahlil Gibran: “Wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.”

The House of the West, ruled by this Star, celebrates gratitude and satisfaction.

Here is how the day looks for your Birth Star.

1 Water Star: Look closer than you did before and you’ll be surprised.

2 Earth Star: Give thanks for you will receive thanks.

3 Thunder Star: Finding comfort within yourself will keep you centred.

4 Wind Star: A real sense of new beginnings defines your day.

5 T’ai Chi Star: You will succeed today, don’t even try to try.

6 Heaven Star: Today speaks of opportunity, so choice is vital.

7 Lake Star: Rest contented where you are - you’ll see that you need to see.

8 Mountain Star: A good day for decisions. You’re cool, calm and collected!

9 Fire Star: Ponder this: as the sun sets it always lights up a new day.

Earth moves Heaven

Elementally this is a powerful 6 Heaven Day, within an 8 Mountain month in an 8 Mountain Year. The ancient Chinese cosmology, which underpins I Ching Astrology, understands that the Earth element of the Mountain supports the Metal element of Heaven.

So we have a Chi were the conflicting rudiments characterising the Mountain Star, revolution and contemplation, can be synchronised by the stable, unifying Heaven energy for a constructive 24 hours.

This how I see the day for your Birth Star…

1 Water Star: To feel better, you need do nothing today.
2 Earth Star: A profound place to nurture your own great nurturing skills.
3 Thunder Star: A spark of recognition blossoms into an idea of promise.
4 Wind Star: From dawn to dusk positive Chi fills your sails
5 T’ai Chi Star: Don’t let your legitimate excitement divert you.
6 Heaven Star: The force is with you today, as possibilities abound.
7 Lake Star: Focus will produce far more than charm today.
8 Mountain Star: Despite your challenges you will find serenity.
9 Fire Star: Don’t try to square the circle, enjoy life’s mysteries.

The parrot tells no lies

T’ai Chi days encourage us to be true to our own natures. A good perspective comes from legendary US comedian Will Rogers: “Live so that you wouldn’t be ashamed to sell the family parrot to the town gossip.” Especially in an 8 Mountain month when the Chi can be contemplative but edgy too.

We are all in the Houses (link to House page) ruled by our own Birth Stars today and this is how I see it for your Star on this 5 T’ai Chi day.

1 Water Star: Follow the inner drift to your contemplative heart

2 Earth Star: Any sense of isolation should encourage you to plan ahead.

3 Thunder Star: Your own vital energy will attract more abundance.

4 Wind Star: You are always comfortable in high energy situations

5 T’ai Chi Star: You can always juggle many balls, but today keep very focused.

6 Heaven Star: Clarity means fairness, dignity and honesty for you.

7 Lake Star: Your grasp of being in the present delights others.

8 Mountain Star: A strong sense of prescience means you can chill today.

9 Fire Star: Act with a sensitive touch in this power-driven day.

Water’s endless journey

Like Water itself we are involved in an endless cycle. And 1 Water Days offer us fluidity, flexibility and invisibility and, with them, the Chi to quietly savour and enjoy the interplay of life within and without, but more particularly within.

After looking at your Star’s position in I Ching Astrology’s cosmic grid (link to Houses page), this is how I see the energy of the day for your Birth Star.

1 Water: Ignore the tendency to flow down established channels.

2 Earth: Take a stand: you can trust your judgement more than ever.

3 Thunder: Reality can drift safely and constructively into imagination today.

4 Wind: The essence of stillness can prove to be advantageous change.

5 T’ai Chi: Be who you are, and do what you want and reap the benefit.

6 Heaven: Enjoy the calm before the storm, you move to Fire tomorrow.

7 Lake: Put down roots as part of a new cycle of growth.

8 Mountain: High energy day as you move through a month that carries your Star.

9 Fire: Talk the talk by all means, but make sure you walk the walk too.

The Karma Dogma Divide

An amusing T-Shirt slogan - My Karma ran over My Dogma - sheds light on a 9 Fire Day. The House of Fame speaks to action, but at the same time we need to be cautious, as any slip-up can be conspicuous. So don’t forget your moral compass.

As you ponder this imaginary, unfortunate accident, here’s how I see the day panning out for your Birth Star on this 9 Fire Day.

1 Water Star: Be aware of the power of discipline exerts on your element

2 Earth Star: The weight of responsibility really eases off today.

3 Thunder Star: Enforced stillness is not the same as enforced idleness.

4 Wind Star: Follow the path you’re on; you will be noticed.

5 T’ai Chi Star: Influence is often best managed with careful planning.

6 Heaven Star: The beginnings of the results you’ve worked for become visible.

7 Lake Star: The momentum continues to gather pace, enjoy the ride.

8 Mountain Star: The powerful need you have for change is manifesting.

9 Fire Star: The light you shed illuminates the path for many others today.
